Shinojima is a populated island located in Mikawa Bay along Japan’s Pacific coast. It is under the jurisdiction of Minamichita Town in Aichi Prefecture.
As of 2015, the island had a population of 1,653 residents living in 622 households. Shinojima lies entirely within the borders of the Mikawa-wan Quasi-National Park.
