Shinojima is located at the entrance of Mikawa Bay, nearly at the midpoint of the line connecting Morozaki in the Chita Peninsula and the Tatsumazaki Lighthouse in the Atsumi Peninsula. It is conveniently accessible, situated approximately 3.8 km from Morozaki Port.

The island is designated as part of the Mikawa Bay Quasi-National Park. Surrounding the island, there are numerous uninhabited islands covered with pine trees, reminiscent of Matsushima. The landscape created by these islands is truly breathtakingly beautiful.

Shinojima is surrounded by a calm inland sea, which makes it an ideal location for thriving fishing activities. Additionally, the island is visited by many tourists from Nagoya, a major city, and various other parts of Aichi Prefecture, filling the island with a lively atmosphere.

Shinojima, with its perfect harmony of rich natural environment, fishing industry, and tourism, continues to captivate its visitors.
