Poetry「Where Should I Fish?」 (2024)

I’m turning thirty-five, you know. I’ve gotten really into fishing. There are times when I don’t catch anything. I bought a new fishing rod, so now I can’t back out. But that’s fine. Fishing is like that.

The atmosphere of this beach feels strangely familiar. It’s probably because of the pine trees. It’s like Miho no Matsubara, or Keino Matsubara.

I don’t see any fishermen around. But I’m not surprised. I’m supposed to fish to write poetry, but I don’t even know what fishing really is.

I don’t even know where I should fish.

That’s the problem.
