Poetry「At the End」(2024)

I see a fisherman at the fishing port.
Is he catching anything?
No, the sea is calm.
The float doesn’t move, and there’s no sign of fish.

The shadow of a boat stirs the water’s surface.
A gentle sea, misty mountains.
The scent of the tide stings my nose,
And the sound of the waves lingers in my ears.
You know this place, don’t you?
The time I spent here,
I wonder if anyone will remember it.

Well, it’s time for me to go.
The time to return has come.
I will never fish here again in this life.
So, let’s say goodbye.

I truly must go now.
The next journey awaits me.
What lies ahead?
With uncertainty, I walk forward,
Feeling that something awaits me ahead.

It is time to leave this quiet sea,
And head to a new place.
Goodbye, beautiful sea.
Even though I love the sea.

I leave the fishing port.
A final glance, and that’s it.
I will not think of this place again.

I am preparing for a new journey,
And my mind is on something else.
Without hesitation.
